Special Renter Laws in Illinois

I am currently looking for my 1st investment property.  I'm reading 'Hold: How to Find, Buy, and Rent houses for Wealth', and they talk about the fact that some states have different laws (i.e. security deposits that have to be paid back with interest to the tenant). I was wondering if there are any special laws in Illinois that pertain to landlords or anything that I need to be aware of?  Thanks!

I would ask at you local REIA for more information, and possibly a local attorney who works in landlord law. I'm working towards buying my first property as well and I know the laws differ even within the state of Illinois, as Chicago appears to have stricter laws than some of the surrounding 'burbs, especially those not in Cook county.
