Thanks @Beth L. I thought I was going crazy trying to figure out how to read the page. This is very useful. I've only had to give a security deposit back once (great tenant!) and the other I kept due to so much damage with another tenant. I always thought the % back to the tenant, given there is no CD or other investment paying what Maryland says has to be remunerated to the tenant, was ridiculous. This meant the interest really is coming from the owners cash flow and not from the security deposit held in escrow in an account that isn't making up the amount let alone the difference.
