Garage?

My husband and I are new to real estate inventing. We have 2 SFHs and are looking at purchasing our 3rd. We're interested in a property but it does not have a garage. Most homes in the neighborhood have at least 1 car garage so when we go to sell we'd want to build one then, however, what are thoughts on putting the investment in now while it's a rental? We are on opposite ends. Thanks for the help!

If you plan to build the garage eventually anyway, you may as well do it now. You would be able to charge more rent for a house with a garage and thereby start making your money back on that garage.
