Fireplace in rental

I purchased a new rental house. It has a fireplace Im wondering what your policy is on these. Do you charge a cleaning fee if they want to use it? Does anyone tell them they cant use it? I haven't looked into the fee yet for a safety inspection and cleaning. It is wood not gas.

Thanks

Fire places in a rental are a bad idea. High risk. Smart landlords will close them off or remove them. It is advisable you instruct your tenants that they are not permited to use it.
