How many coins do washer/dryer hold

Question

I am installing coin operated laundry in my 4 unit building, and I was wondering how many quarters the coin boxes the washers and dryers typically hold.  I'd rather only have to come around once a month if possible.  Thanks!

In my 4-unit I empty it monthly, but if I skip a month it definitely gets "too full" and the coins start over flowing or jamming. Again, depending on the model you can buy a larger coin box for it for relatively cheap.

I have one coin operated washer and one coin operated dryer in a 4 unit building, once a month would be plenty sufficient to empty the coin boxes in them, but it likely varies by model.  If I were to guess, I would say the coin boxes wouldn't be full for 6-8 months, but I am also pretty sure that a number of my tenants take their laundry elsewhere.

Card operated is not cost effective for a small laundry. The operating system is too expensive.

Also keep in mind the machines do get broken into and the less amount of cash in them the better.

Once you have a pattern of use you will learn to know how often to empty them if there are only a few machines.

I think that's going to vary greatly from model to model. As well as how often/how much laundry your tenants do.

Why not go card operated if you don't want to swing by regularly?
