Inheriting a tenant on a rehab

I have a potential deal on the table in CT that would require the Buyer to inherit a elderly tenant. The family inherited a home and they put their Uncle in it to prevent the home being vacant. Home needs total rehab- no heat or running water- the Uncle shouldn't be living here at all. Anyway- how long does the eviction process take in CT? This tenant issue is a major reason why I am not investing. The Uncle is a vet and I'm putting feelers out on housing options for him but haven't obtained info on that yet.

@Julie N. If I were you I wouldn't spend one second trying to find housing for the elderly uncle.  The family put him in there and if they really want to sell the house they will figure out a way to get him out.

Write a clause in your contract that the house is to be vacant upon sale.  If they need the money and are serious about selling they will have no problem complying with that.

Are you working with a realtor or consultant to guide you through this?  Any situation that involves you taking control of a home with no running water or heat with an elderly person living in said house is a terrible idea.

Home delivered vacant or no deal.  Pretty easy as I see it.
