Security Cameras on Shared Duplex

I own a duplex and I live upstairs. My tenants below had some packages stolen and my car has been broken into. I am going to install security cameras. I know I probably need to inform them, but they won't have access to view the camera feed. 

Anyone have advice on how to approach and handle this with the tenants?
