Damage to Refrigerator

I had a tenant break both drawers and the door racks in my refrigerator.  The tenant is contesting the charges I took out of the security deposit stating it is normal wear and tear.

I am wondering if what others think about charging for this type of damage?

Breaking both drawers and door racks is NOT normal wear and tear. They will always try to pull that one. I had a tenant tell me the door knob holes in the sheetrock behind the doors and kool aid stains in the carpet were normal wear and tear. I told her maybe in her family that's normal, but not anyone else.
