When is a neighborhood too bad?

I've heard some success stories of getting rentals in not so good neighbor hoods.  I have heard the horror stories as well.  For those who have success in those neighborhoods, where do you draw the line.  What are some definite signs that tells you to run.  What does a neighborhood look like that your willing to take a chance in but would scare most investors away?

You draw the line based on your abilities to manage the business. There are rentals in every imaginable neighbourhood making profits for their owners. Your question is asking others to determine your personal limits and the answers you get will only be based on our personal business approach.

Your question more appropriately should be....how do you manage C/D class properties.
