Hydro jet spray really necessary?

I just had a tenant call this past Sunday saying my sewer line is backing up. With my luck i of coarse had to pay premium Sunday rates of $325.00.  Ouch!!!  The drain cleaner guy pulled out a nested clump of tree roots. He said he went 60 ft out to the main sewer drop. He said i now need hydro jet cleaning to prevent any further problems. If he already removed the obstruction i dont see why i need to pay $1000 for hydro jetting. What do you all think? The drain is now running fine.
