Where do most landlords post there available rentals?

I am trying to find the best sites to look for condos for rent. I want to rent from a landlord versus a commercial complex.

I usually post on craigslist. It's free and it's where most people look. There's always an agent as well.

Zillow, Craigslist, Facebook, and sign in yard. Re yard signs, walking, jogging, or driving around neighborhoods you are interested in is invaluable.

The only place we ever post is Facebook.  Do some Facebook searches with your town or county and "homes for rent"   You will be surprised at the number of groups and listings.  In my little area of Texas, we post to 10 different groups that serve our town and area.

I'd suggest Zillow, Trulia and Hotpads (they will often have the same ads if a landlord has posted through postlets).

Be careful when looking for rental properties through Craigslist; it often has a higher percentage of scammers (people who steal others ads and offer these at lower rates).   AVOID dealing with anyone who wants you to send money to them before allowing you to view the place or confirm they either are the owner or represent the owner.

I have posted 3 rentals in the last year- I use every available free service, and I have drawn tenants from each.

1- April, realtor.com via cozy.co (previous tenant-young couple, rented it the year before based on lawn sign.)

2 - August a) Zillow/Trulia

b) craigslist

I do not go anywhere near backpage.
