Landlord is telling me she wants her home back

I just paid my landlord her full rent amount, and now is telling me she wants her house back to fix minor repairs due from Harvey. I have never been late paying rent, she said I always was a a good tenant but states she wants to fix repairs in the house and she wants me out the house by the end of the month. Is that right? I asked her to let me keep the rent money if she wants me out that soon, and she isn't. I have 4 kids and pets. Everyone around me has flooded. Looking for a house in such short notice after such a big disaster is almost impossible. Houston Tx

Follow your lease. If you have a month to month lease, she needs to give you one full months notice typically, meaning you wouldn't have to leave until end of October. If it is a term lease, she is **** out of luck. sounds like she is pulling a fast one, and trying to benefit from a shortage. many municipalities have free legal aids for tenant landlord issues. seek one out, as she is likely not within her legal rights to tell you to leave.
