Rental Term Agreement Without Extension Provision
If a term agreement does not specify any language as to its extension, does it proceed to a month to month extension or does the extension become a mirror of the original lease term (ie. 6 month lease). Where can the applicable law that relates to this be found? I live in California.

Follow the lease... if it is silent on the matter and you have provided a written 30 day notice to vacate (and that is the required minimum in your location) you can leave without any other issues (regarding the lease).
Also, unless the lease states that you are responsible for paying for anything related to the new tenant.... you are not responsible.
