Buying duplex with renters in it
Hi!
My wife and I are wanting to buy our first duplex here in Minnesota. We want to buy a slightly distressed building and fix it up before we rent out one side and we would live in the other.
If the building is rented out what steps do we need to take to get them out so we can remodel?
Does their original lease need to be up or does it void with a new owner? What are my legal rights and what are theirs?
