Should I form a 'MeetUp' group?

Question

As a realtor for the past 10 years, I have helped hundreds of Chicagoland landlords rent and manage their properties. -- I even wrote a "Landlord Tips" book which is well received by landlords, especially since it is Free.  :-)

That being said, I am considering forming a Meetup group where we can continue our landlord support in a group setting and landlords can also help each other.

Has anyone had success with Meetup? -- This will be a little different than the buying/flipping investor Meetup groups but similiar..

@John Meyers You might want to connect with @Adrien S. who runs a successful group near me in Northwest Indiana. I've heard great things about the meetup from some mutual friends who are a member of his group - still need to get my schedule coordinated with the hubby to attend one!

@John Meyers I am part of a group like this in Berwyn currently that has been running for over 20 years. I think these are fantastic groups for land lords to be a apart off, and I strongly recommend that you start one. Ours is/was on meetup.com, but most of the attendees are old school and have never even heard of bigger pockets.

You might try to hook up with some other organizations like CIC that have land lord training. That could be a good source for long term members.
