Rental Vacancy Rates

Looking at buying RE remotely, so cant go to local investor meetings. I am after a Rental Vacancy Rate, by zip or suburb for different areas (and States)
Does anyone know of any good resources online.

I used redfin. If you search by city, on the left nav, click on Stats and Trends and then on the right nav click on Demographics. That will let you select the area by neighborhood or zip code, giving you detailed vacancy rates.
