I am buying a primary residence. Looking to attract some potential tenants for spare rooms. I will be managing, taking applications, etc. my self.

1. What are you using to advertise the open rooms?

2. How/ what systems are other using to take application, collect application fee payment, and run the background/ credit check report?

Looking for any advise here. First time doing it.

I would think renting a room is no different than renting the whole unit as far as rental applications are concerned.   Just make sure you have your criteria and stick to them.

You can advertise on craigslist, I believe they have a section just for rooms.
