Who to go to for a background and credit check?

I recently made a small purchase on a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom condominium and would like to rent out the bedroom. Does anyone know of any companies that I can use to vet tenants credit and background checks? Or does anyone know of any property managers in Southern California that specialize in managing only 1 room?
