Turn key investments

Jose Lampreabe
Posted

new to the forums. Located in Miami.

My first question is, if you buy a turn key rental property, do you have to stick with the property management company you bought the property from ? Or you can deviate and hire your company or self manage?

Thank you

@Jose Lampreabe You own the property and can choose to do what you want with it, I would be very cautious of a turn key company that tells you that you have to use their PM. Most true turn key companies offer property management and if you choose to use theirs once you close, you would sign a management agreement, however, you should not be forced to do so. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend going out and finding some random property manager. Turn key companies have a vested interest in providing good management in order to get investors buying more.
