Homeless man living in shared house causing bed bugs!!!

I live in a 3 bedroom 1 bath multi family home. On the 1st of March my landlord leased one of the vacant rooms to a man who seemed to me as a homeless. On the 3rd day of him living here there has been a foul, terrible smell. I found out he was bringing in big black bags filled with garbage every night when he’d come home and storing them in his room. As of now there is 5 foot piles of garbage bags in his room and causing bed bugs!!! This man doesn’t own any clothes or furniture and wear the same clothes always. He never paid a deposit before moving in and never paid first months rent!

Someone please help get this guy out. I live in a good location in Newark, New Jersey and would like to stay here.

Sorry to say but regardless of the fact that you may want to stay you do not want to be living somewhere that the landlord has no idea what they are doing. You want a informed and educated landlord that has your best interest in mind. You are presently adrift at sea on your own and should be giving notice immediately to move out. I understand how that may be the last thing you want but under the circumstances it is in your best interest otherwise this will not be your last problem with this landlord. Get out now before things get worse.

You have a major landlord problem not a problem with another tenant.
