Tenant had 4 office rugs in backyard

My tenants had 2 dogs. Over the course of 3 years the yard was beaten down. The last straw for me was seeing they had placed 4 office type rugs by the porch thus destroying any grass. They also had a bouncy house type thing that left just dirt.  Small yard but it was pretty much destroyed. I spent 800 bucks to put new sod in. Can I deduct this from their deposit.
