Hi,

I need to paint the exterior of my SFH rental. Any recs for best paint to use? I read a good article from Brandon Turner on this site about his preferred interior paint from Walmart. Has anyone used their exterior paint? Thanks

I would not use Walmart paint. If you buy quality paint, it will take less coats and last longer. I buy Sherwin Williams paint. I painted my house with their life time guarantee paint and after 8 years, it started fading. They gave me 15 gallons of paint for free under warranty! My point is they stand behind their paint. Sun and rain will destroy any paint over time, but cheap paint even faster. Do you want to repaint every five years or put some good paint on that lasts 15 years? I learned long ago in the rental business to use quality materials so they hold up.
