Need help about renewal of lease!

I live in a studio apartment me my husband and 2 babies one is 1 1/2 & the other is 1 month we have not renewed our lease but our property manager suggest that we take next door because it’s bigger & also more expensive  but we are just fine where we are can they not renew our lease because of my kids ? Ps . We had our 1 year old there when we signed the first lease now my newborn is here and they knew I was pregnant .

They have no obligation to renew your lease when it expires.....they don’t need a reason.  You’ll need to convince them.  There usually is a number of people restriction in most apartment leases also.
