Am I responsible for bad bathtub paint job?

The apartment I moved into a couple of years ago was newly renovated. After the first couple of days in using our "newly painted bathtub", we started noticing that the paint would stick to whatever body part is touching it. We enjoy taking baths and it was getting worse. We sent in a service request about it, but nothing was done. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a copy of the service request because that was 2 years ago and they had switched to a different resident portal last year. I will not be renewing my lease for a 3rd time here and was wondering if they would try to pin the paint damage on us. The paint got so bad that we just starting pealing it off in the inside of the tub just to discover that the porcelain underneath only had some chips that could've been filled in. It was as if they had used the paint where they were repainting the walls and just covered the entire tub.
