rentals on same street

Is it possible to own too many rental properties on same street or subdivision ?? I have five on the same street that I paid 86k ave. rent 950-1000 a month.Now some owners are calling about buying theirs..Thanks for any info on this topic

I agree with Ryan. You "control" (screen and choose) the bulk of the tenant pool that lives on that street. Just think, when you have a vacancy and you fill it, you can have a waiting list for the next one when it goes vacant. You can put signs on more than one house that you own, so you can get the phone ringing more. It's only bad if it's a terrible block, or if there are other landlords on that block who let riff-raff in.
