HVAC and House Hacking

How do Hackers handle a single HVAC Unit? Re-route ducts? (Sounds expensive and I have a crawls space...not easily accessible)  Should I Add a wall unit for area I have hacked?  I have a 4 Bedroom home and 2.5 Ton HVAC and I am concerned about necessary draft needed for HVAC to run properly if I put up walls!
