Job in property management?

Matthew Gambill
Posted

Looking to start buying rental properties with one at a time in mind, but have career change options due to retirement from the military. I will have at least a 4 yr degree in Leadership, and possibly an MA in organizational leadership by retirement. Would it be worth my time to go work for a large Property Management company to learn the business system? Part of me is leaning towards buying a franchise resale to learn to be a business owner. Anyone who has any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I bought a resale franchise I would have to buy a cheap one, considering I'm just an enlisted vet without a million in the bank. I am eager for knowledge and motivated, but feel like the franchise may limit my time to find solid rental investments, which I ultimately would like to get involved with. Thanks in advance for your community and I hope to one day be a solid contributor!

Matt
