Shower Pan Questions

Karran Gupta
Posted

Hey BP landlords! I need some help with a shower pan problem, it needs to be replaced.(see images below)

The dimensions are 34.5in x 35in, but the problem is I can't find anything on HD with these dims...

1) Do you know any brands/shops where I can order this?

2) If not - what would be a comparable solution? (buy a bigger shower pan & cut down? / custom build? / anything else that I'm not thinking of?)

3) Am I right in thinking that we can just remove the existing shower pan, since it is surrounded by a tile wall?

Because this is a rental, I'd like to keep it as low cost as possible (while of course putting in something that is 'quality rental grade').

Thank you!

@Karran Gupta have you considered refinishing it? A lot of times you can have a tub/tile refinishing company spray stuff like this. If this is a C class type rental I would definitely go that direction, and would probably lean that direction for a B class as well. Once you tear that out, you will have a much bigger job on your hand and will probably end up with a lot of demo.
