Determining occupancy/vacancy rates for short term rentals

I've considered buying a short term rental. How can I find out what the vacancy rate is in specific  areas?  I'm looking at the Colorado Springs area, would greatly appreciate any input.

@Patty Capson

Hey there- we help a lot of investors buy STRs in Colorado Springs, so hopefully this helps a little.

Two ways you can find occupancy rates: 1.) Purchase an AIRDNA report on Colo Spgs or 2.) check the airbnb calendars of similar renters in that area/reach out to people already renting.a word to the wise: Colo Spgs just changed their airbnb laws to limit who can do them, so just make sure you are in compliance before you buy.
