Rental Property with a pool

I found another great buy and hold, however it has a pool. I am not really comfortable renting a home with a pool because of the liability factor. However, i got to thinking if i bought it right maybe i could fill it in with dirt and remove the liability concern. Can some one share their professional view on (I) the liability concern I seem to have with a rental with a pool and (ii) Has anyone filled in a pool with dirt and would you have a ball park cost to fill a 20,000 gallon hole?

Thanks, Kurt

I have managed properties over 20 years, I have NEVER seen a pool litigation case. I always hear this same concern and yet the only negative I see is maintenance costs. I am sure someone has been sued somewhere but its almost become a 'Landlord Myth", pool=lawyer.
