Is anyone familiar with Hagerstown, MD?

Question

I’m thinking of investing in Hagerstown, MD and would really like to learn more about the market.  I’ve identified some rental properties that really interest me and have done some research on the market but would really like to speak to someone who is familiar or active with Hagerstown. @Franco Battaglia if you are looking at Hagerstown, MD look at it in combination with Chambersburg, Greencastle, and Waynesboro, PA. each of those cities are within about 20 minutes of each other and have similar returns. These cities in Franklin County, PA have less regulations than the city part of Hagerstown and similar returns. Just count on deferred maintenance in all potential properties and inspect accordingly.

For Hagerstown, you will want one of these specialists if you are buying properties right in the city. The outskirts have some good neighborhoods with great opportunities such as the north end which has been mentioned before. The east end is experiencing a lot of growth around the hospital and new road construction will help connect the city better. If you don't live local i would recommend using a property manager to navigate all of the laws and regulations.
