Splitting Water Bills in CT

Melissa T.
Posted

Hi,

Has anyone in the CT area had any luck with splitting water bills in multifamily units? Are there laws that prohibit this in Connecticut? We have several multifamily units and could probably save thousands of dollars a year if there is a strategy to do this. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,

Melissa

I'm not a lawyer, @Melissa T., but I don't think this is illegal in CT (municipalities may have their own rules, though). The bigger problem is that if this isn't market practice in your area, you'll be at a competitive disadvantage.
