Are there any rules in NJ about raising rent duringcovid -19? I have a problem tenant from day one. Her lease is up and she was supposed to be out end of April. shes known for several months that she'd be leaving but now claims she can't because of virus. I had new tenant lined up for may 1st that was paying higher rent. Is it legal at this time to raise rent?
I think it will be impossible to remove a tenant that doesn't agree to leave at this time.
Bad idea to raise rent right now.
They may just refuse to pay any rent.
I wouldn't rock the boat unless they will leave on their own.
Sounds like a very specific New Jersey State issue.
Stay up to date on gov. websites/ announcements. Will you post on MLS ? check with an agent who maybe knowledgeable
