Notice To Vacate Date On Lease

K. Gray
Posted

I live in Virginia and I'm moving out of my townhouse on May 31st. My lease ends on May 31st and on my lease the Notice To Vacate date says April 30th 2020, but in the back of the lease paperwork it says I must give a two month calendar notice to move out and since I put my notice in on April 15th (before the date thats on my rental agreement) that I now must pay for the month of June as well. Should I go by the date that's clearly on my rental agreement that the property manager and I both signed when I moved in and dispute paying for the month of June or should I go by the middle of the packet that says a two month notice is required and pay for the month of J

une as well.
