Prospective tenant living in hotel

Hi, all,

I have an apartment that I'm looking to rent out and someone called me claiming that they live now in the hotel because they are coming from a different state where they worked and they company sent them here and they are paying him for his family to stay in a hotel until he finds an apartment, does this sound right???
