Eviction Moratoriums Extended: Is Your State On The List...

And, just when we thought that the madness was coming to an end, many states extended the moratorium on evictions.  The American Apartment Owners Association has compiled a state-by-state list of the orders:

I looked; couldn't resist - and there are a few states that actually left a landlord/owners property rights in tact throughout the pandemic.  Kudos to those.

Hope this helps...Stay safe.

Ok, I had not actually seen or looked for the update past the June 10 date of the original executive order.  The article shared in the original post listed Va as a No to eviction moratorium extension. Almost all the other states, with the exception of a handful were a Yes. I think of Va as a relatively fair tenant landlord state (perhaps Landlord friendly If you had to pick one of the two), especially in comparison to the stories you hear about a number of other states (Oregon, Washington, Ca, Ny, etc).

This eviction moratorium has me holding my breathe though. I dont need it now, but it removes a tool from the toolbox and leaves one uneasy as it seems to go to the heart of basic property ownership rights.
