Special Cleaning due to COVID?

Question

Hello fellow landlords,

Due to COVID, are there any special cleaning requirements of a single family rental house in Texas before the next tenants move in? I was planning to get extra cleaning of all knobs, faucets, switches and counters by clorox wipes by my regular cleaning lady. I did a search and could not find any specific requirement so wanted to check if anyone is aware of it.

@Priyanka K. I am not aware of any legal special cleaning requirements due to COVID-19, but I really appreciate the fact that you've taken up the initiative to do so. It's definitely going to give your new tenants some peace of mind when they move in, and I do hope that more landlords start implementing this kind of special cleaning too!

@Marlen Weber thank you so very much and this is what I was planning on so it does confirm my plan! This link is more like a guide/tips. Are you aware of any requirements by any authorities that landlords need to follow? I did a lot of search and could only find some information on common area cleaning of multifamily & commercial units, nothing specific for single family and move in.

FYI - I called TREC (Texas Real Estate Commission) and spoke to an attorney, the attorney confirmed there are no (legal) requirements and just to follow CDC guidelines which is what I m planning to do! :)
