Latest paint colors for rentals?

Hi everyone! Looking to acquire my first rental and we just met with a contractor to get a quote on repairs for a 1935 semi detached single family. They have been painting all their rentals with a modern gray with white trim. The contractor also suggested gray kitchen cabinets. I heard once that warm tan was a great color for the interior of a rental. What colors are you using in your rental units? Any recommendations? Go with gray?

My advice would be to use accent walls to make places look better. I use a lot of grey in my houses, and then make a few extra walls pop with a crazy color. Here are a few pictures for you as examples:
