Octopus furnace — yikes!

I had the privilege of seeing an octopus furnace for the first time today... what do I need to know about this beast? Should I swim as fast as I can from this deal?

Asbestos tape wrap on joints is probably present so I'd factor in remediation or ask the seller to do it.
