Emotional support dog request from current tenant

Our current tenant just send us a request to bring a puppy to the rental unit, which was listed and rented as no dog & cat house. Any advise to avoid have a dog (especially a puppy) to our home?

I'm going to assume (based on the title of your post) that the tenant is claiming this new puppy is an ESA and that you don't want to approve it.

If it's truly a puppy, then it's not likely a trained service dog, which would keep it under the classification of an ESA.  If it were actually a service dog, you'd have to accept it.  However, you don't always have to accept an ESA.  You just need to know under what circumstances you don't.
