Countertops for rentals
Hi all! I’m getting ready to remodel a kitchen at a rental property. What kind of countertops would you recommend? I’m torn between granite, quartz, and acrylic. Thank you!

My vote is off the shelf Formica. It’s stupidly cheap, and is easily DIY. I have clients that have counter tops they out in 10,12,15 years ago and still going strong. The stuff now looks a lot like granite. 8’ is about $120.
Last rental of mine I finished earlier this year I sent my wife pics of the new kitchen.. her response was.. “Um we didn’t discuss granite in the budget” It was off the shelf formica from Lowe’s.. My words of advice are to use tiny nails on the end caps and some silicone underneath where the DW is. I should be good for years, spending about $200 for counters.
Unless I was investing in A class, I wouldn’t even consider granite or quartz.
