Seawall- Should we have a fence?

Hoping to collect thoughts.

Wife and I just closed on our first house hack, 4 units on the water near Fort Myers. This is a riverfront property so depending on tide it could be 2 foot drop into water or 5 foot drop onto rocks. Currently it has no fencing or guard rail, anything. Should we be concerned? Do we need to put up caution signs?

Thanks for any insight!

Happy Holidays!
