short term vacation rentals

I have a building lot located approximately 2 miles from Sunday River, Maine’s largest ski resort. I am thinking of building a 3 bedroom chalet type home on it.

would like to create a short term rental business with it to subsidize my retirement income.

Please advise, good idea or not?
