What state to create my EIN sole proprietorship?

I own a home in Hawaii but recently relocated to Maryland for work and now I am renting my property. I need to get an EIN to file taxes for my rental propert so do I need to get a sole proprietorship in the state of Hawaii? Or where I live now in Maryland? I Appreciate any helpful responses. Thanks!
