Tenant looking for other tenants contact info to satisfy job application questions. What should I do? Should I ask the other tenants or just flat out reject the request?

@Zee Ayezain Ignore him/her. Tenants are entitled to confidentiality of their information.

Reject the request and give this advice should you be so inclined:
If the other tenants are willing to share their contact info for the purpose the one asking you specifies, they will do so willingly after being asked directly. No reason for you to be the middle-man unless you want to do something foolish by violating their confidentiality.

@Zee Ayezain Hard no! Explain that you don't share confidential information. You protect your tenants including them.

Reject the request. You have a responsibility to protect private information and the Tenant has no right to it. If they want it, they are welcome to knock on the neighbors' doors and ask them directly. They'll think he's a creep, but that's the option.

No, never give out anyone's information ever, this is against fair housing. If they want to find out the information they can do so on their own terms. If a tenant found out you gave out their information you could potentially face issues with HUD.
