Unpaid rent and rental assistance
My tenant owes 3 months of rent; January through March. He lost his job last year due to Covid and has been trying to get rental assistance for January through June. He has a relative that is willing to pay his rent for April through June, but the relative is asking that I return his money once my tenants rental assistance goes through. Is this legal?
