Best cities/areas for rental properties

Xing Wei
Posted

Hi everyone! I am a newbie in rental properties. Trying to find a city/area where I can invest for cash flow. Now the areas that I am interested:

1. Tampa, FL

2. Miami/Hollywood, FL

3. Dallas, TX

I know now the market is super hype and the prices are skyrocketing, not sure this is the right time to get started. What's your thoughts about those areas? Do you have other recommendations?

Hi @Xing Wei !

If you are looking to get into some single family rental properties, Tampa is a great area to look into! You can purchase low maintenance properties built within the last 5 years for 200-250k, and take in good cash flow on the monthly rent.  Here are some cities in the Tampa area I would suggest:

Riverview - 2021 Avg Rent: $1780

Average Days on Market: 15 Days

Wesley Chapel- 2021 Avg Rent: $1997

Average Days on Market: 16

Lithia- 2021 Average Rent: $2083

Average Days on Market: 14 days

Would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding these areas or the Tampa Market in general.
