Property management company name adding in Insurance

Hi fellow BPers,
The property management company is requesting to add their name as additional interest in the landlord Home insurance of my investment property. Is this usual? I have had multiple rentals and none of the management company asked for this. Is it ok to add them in insurance or can any issue arise later?

This is far far more common than it is uncommon.  In our experience this is actually the opposite of your experience.  Most do and those that don't make me a bit nervous.  It is free and helps cover them where they can't cover themselves as they are not the owner.
