Hello Family, I'm a newbie and I'm happy to be in this forum. I need some suggestions please. We're looking forward to buy our primary home by next year, I wanted a duplex because i wanted to live in 1 side and rent the other side but we don't have all the 20% save. So therefore we're plannig to go with a single family home, but thinking to turn the garage into an efficiency and rent it out, I don't know if this is illegal, or is there any other recommendation? I need to make some extra cash, and continue to save to get us a duplex as our second property
