Co signer for tenant

Can you deny a tenant that does not meet the rental requirements but has A co-signer? How do you handle that? TIA.

@Julie Hartman I always let them know we don’t accept a co-signer. But that makes sense to make it a standard across the board to avoid discrimination. I’m just not sure of the Ohio laws regarding this topic but will definitely have to do some research. I wanted to get an idea of how others handle this. Thanks a lot for the advice!
